Hi everyone, I’m Scarlett Wang and BOI’s Chief Operating Officer. A junior at Diamond Bar High School, I am captain of the DBHS tennis team and a volunteer for Girls Inc. My mom was the first to introduce me to business, and after delving into its various fields, Finance stood out to me, especially stocks and investments. After attending the Investments, Financial Planning & You Program at UCI to fulfill my curiosity, I decided to start BankingOnIt (BOI) with four of my friends to teach financial literacy across Southern California.

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

Hello, my name is Dylan Lew, and I am BOI’s Director of Technology. I am currently a junior at Diamond Bar high school, as well as a member of the DBHS golf team. I’ve interned for both Professor Hammoudeh at Cal State Fullerton and the City of La Habra. My father works as a portfolio manager for an investment company, which is how I was first exposed to the concept of investing and business as a whole.

Hi! My name is Melody and I am the COO of Banking On It, along with my partner Scarlett. I’ve always been interested in finance since much of my family works in banking and management. My interest in finance slowly turned into a passion when I started to attend school-based finance clubs and apply to finance summer programs. While discussing starting this organization with my friends, we realized that everyone deserved a starting point for finance to develop interest, and maybe even turn it into a passion later in their lives.

DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH

Sam is an incoming senior attending Fairmont Preparatory Academy and has always been a fan of the business world. He has been a part of the International Business Program at his school for three years now and has attended various business related programs such as Beta Camp and the UCI IFPY Program in order to further expand his knowledge within the field. Outside of all that, Sam has acquired a deep understanding of the market through his two years of stock trading under his parents account. Now, he is more than excited to share his knowledge regarding this field to ones that share the same passion.

Hello, my name is Adrian Hu, I am the Director of Marketing of BOI and a rising senior attending Fairmont Prep Academy. My dad is an independent investor and he inspired me to start investing. Because I love investing and finance, I attended a program called Investments, Financial Planning & You Program at the University of California, Irvine, and started this non-profit organization, wanting to teach kids about how to manage their money.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Hello, my name is Kevin Fang and I am the Director of Operations at BOI. I am currently a Sophomore at Diamond Bar High School and the President of Helios, a Microfinance club. I have been passionate about finance and the economy ever since middle school and has attended many opportunities to express my passion. I am fortunate to have gained financial experience through the DBHS Robotic Team as their Operations member. Being able to analyze and understand the economy had a positive effect on my personal life, which is why I wanted to dedicate my time and effort to inspire like-minded individuals.
